Health Benefits

Many soaps in the market today are manufactured using harsh chemicals and detergents. At Akuna Soap Industry, we use natural ingredients which are not only good for the skin but also have many amazing health benefits.

BASE OILS IN ALL SOAP/SHAMPOO BARS

  • Soybean Oil—rich in vitamin E, this oil helps to promote skin health by retaining moisture and helping to protect against skin inflammation caused by harmful UV light.
  • Coconut Oil—naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and super nourishing with healthy fatty acids.  This oil leaves your skin smooth and radiant.
  • Palm Oil—great source of antioxidants, which can help to reduce appearance of aging.
  • Olive Oilonly in the Shampoo/Conditioner Hair Bars seals moisture into the hair fiber, which helps with elasticity and results in less breakage. It penetrates your hair strands and reduces the amount of water your hair absorbs—which, in turn, cuts down on shrinkage and frizz.

Soap Bars – Health Benefits

  • This is the best soap for Pimples, Acne, and other facial marks. It is deeply cleansing with the charcoal but also very moisturizing with the sugar. People who have used this soap have noticed results within just 3 days of washing the face or body with it.
  • Activated Charcoal—effectively unclogs pores, removes impurities, toxins, and dead skin cells. It also works as a mild exfoliator leaving your skin smooth, supple, and even toned.
  • Sugar—is a natural humectant, drawing moisture from the environment into the skin. While the charcoal is very cleansing, the sugar helps counteract it by preventing dry skin.
  • Oatmeal—contains a component called saponins that work as a natural cleanser. The oats create and gentle exfoliation that helps remove clogged dirt and oil from the skin pores.
  • Honey—is also an humectant, and extremely moisturizing for the skin.
  • Shea Butter—has high concentrations of fatty acids that soften skin and help seal in moisture. The anti-inflammatory properties help with redness and facial swelling leaving it even smooth and even toned.

  • Peppermint Oil—naturally cleanses the skin with antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It soothes irritation and inflammation with its cooling effect.
  • Tea Tree Oil—helps fight acne and reduce scarring with its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It can also help with itchy, oily, or dry skin. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic agent, and this soap can help clean and disinfect small burns or wounds.

  • Epsom Salt can soften rough, dry skin, and exfoliate dead skin cells. It may also soothe skin affected by skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis. Epsom salt also promotes sleep and stress reduction, and helps reduce pain and swelling, softening the skin in the process.
  • Baobab Powder has a high Vitamin C content, which helps increase collagen and elastin production in the skin, which are the proteins that keep your skin supple and youthful. Baobab powder has incredible antioxidants that help fight oxidative damage, making it one of the best natural remedies for glowing skin!
  • Lemongrass Oil has antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains antioxidants that help your body fight off free radicals that damage cells.
  • Eucalyptus Oil is a natural mosquito repellant, as its scent helps keep these annoying pests away. It also can help relieve sore muscles and sunburn, while its antiseptic properties can help when washing cuts, scrapes, and burns.
  • Citronella Oil is a natural essential oil which effectively repels mosquitoes and other insects. It is also an antifungal agent which helps treat parasitic infections, promotes wound healing, and even helps lift moods or fight fatigue.
